What Makes Me Happy . . . . . . .

Chris is having a contest over on her blog to celebrate her birthday.  If you are a knitter you'll want to check it out. She's just designed a new knit pattern and will be giving away a copy of the knit pattern or if you are the winner and choose - a skein of fabulous yarn.  I personally love the pattern and can see myself knitting that up this summer. 

So in response to her contest I walked around my house and found these things that are making me happy today:

The first cup of coffee, nice and strong.   

A knitting project that is going well - The Tangled Yoke Cardigan

Sleeping in and waking up to this purring kitty (Lulu)

New yarn that I bought yesterday 40% off, there's actually 1500 yds, plenty for a sweater.

Learning to spin, this is my second bobbin and I'm pretty happy with how I'm doing at this point.  Still need lots of practice.

My art bag, packed with supplies and ready to go to my art group today - to play

This wild girl who kept following me around and getting in the way while I was taking these pictures, but she wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a picture of her - notice the blurry photo, this was the best one.   

Freshly planted flowers on the front porch, part of the yardwork my dh is outside doing right now, notice the patching in the lawn - desperately needed.

So there's lots of things I'm happy about today.  Now I'm going to go to the kitchen and get another cup of that coffee . . . .
