Unexpected Treasures

Yesterday I saw a post on one of the yahoo groups I belong to - Nikki Blackwood posted an invitation to come and dig through cast off assemblage bits in her garage.  Sounds like fun huh?  Well, I found out she lives just a few blocks from where I work so we arranged to meet last evening.  I had so much fun poking around in old boxes and tins full of pieces of metal, knobs, wood, ceramic, etc.

I didn't find too much, but did end up with a couple of baggies of small misc pieces, old bottles, the front panel of an old typewriter and a nice piece of chicken wire.

We chatted about Art & Soul and Artfest (I'm anxious for the schedule to be up).

It was a nice evening with some unexpected treasures.
