I have been seeing all these great posts on several of the blogs I read about participating in Seth's Disintegration Collaboration project. I know, come May 1, if I do not have a disintegration project to reveal I will be so disappointed. So, this morning I put together my own packet of papers and elements to hang outside until the magical day of May 1. All projects will be brought in and shown in their disintegrated state. Sounds like a fun experiment huh?
I decided to use a plain brown paper bag for the main element and build upon that. I've added some metal that I think will rust in our rainy and damp Pacific Northwest climate. Some dyed papers, paper flowers, tin foil, string, and bright blue tissue paper that I am hoping will bleed all over the project.
I've wrapped it all up and tied it with plain white cotton string, sure to be dirty and worn by May. At least now I'll be hoping for rain, wind and fog this late winter and early spring.
We shall see what happens.
LOVE the metal in here!! Hurry, May!! lol
